Overview

The excesses of the Roman Empire, the passions of the ruler, and the plots of the senators all come together at the gladiatorial games. When Caesar pits his own favorite champion against one chosen by Brutus and Cassius, the backstabbing and jockeying for position begin long before the muscular warriors enter the arena.
